Blackheath Area Neighbourhood Centre (BANC) is a not-for-profit community based organisation based in the upper Blue Mountains at Blackheath. We provide a range of services to the local community and to the wider Blue Mountains community.

Blackheath Art Society is a dynamic group of Blue Mountains artists who paint, draw and print in our unique purpose-built Studio. Each week we meet in our different groups to work in the south light-filled space of the Studio.

The Blackheath Bridge Club meets every Monday at the Blackheath Golf Club. Play begins at 9.30am. All level of players welcome. No partner required.

The Centre is ideally located on the Great Western Highway directly opposite the Blackheath Railway Station and is adjacent to the picturesque gardens. It is a multipurpose venue, which makes it suitable for a variety of activities.

Blackheath Cricket Club was established on March 29, 1890, making it the oldest running Cricket Club in the Blue Mountains Cricket Association. We cater for ages 8 and up, male and female players.

Blackheath FC is a football club based in Blackheath NSW, Australia. We cater for age groups from Under 6 to Mens/Ladies.

BAG was established in 2008 in response to the State and Federal Government announcement to upgrade the Great Western Highway between Mount Victoria and Lithgow.

While we have many experienced singers, membership is open to anyone who is willing to learn. We provide online music resources and extra workshops and rehearsals, which are particularly helpful to those who do not read music and/or are discovering and developing their singing voice.

Friends of Blackheath Pool & Memorial Park has a mission to continue to protect this gem of the Mountains for the community now, & for future generations. Blackheath Memorial Park surrounds Blackheath Pool - one of the most beautifully situated public swimming baths in Australia - set amongst sweeping lawns & mature rhododendrons, at 1065 metres above sea level in the Blue Mountains of NSW. Opened in 1931, The Memorial Park was built by the community, for the community in the years following WW1.

The Heads Up For Fire (HUFF) project is a Blackheath Area Neighbourhood Centre project that aims to ensure the wellbeing of people within the upper Blue Mountains in the event of bushfires or other emergencies. HUFF facilitators are people who volunteer their time to get to know their neighbours and share information with them about preparing for an emergency.

The Leslie Memorial Presbyterian Church, designed in 1925 by the prominent Sydney architectural firm Ross and Rowe, is a good representative example of an Inter-war gothic church. The associated hall is a good example of a Federation carpenter gothic church in the Blue Mountains, and is the oldest Presbyterian Church in the Blue Mountains.
The buildings have been associated with Presbyterian worship in the town of Blackheath since c.1900.

Medlow Bath Residents Association meetings and afternoon teas are held on Saturdays at 2.30pm. The meetings are friendly and we aim to update all residents of Medlow Bath what is happening in your neighbourhood and Community. This is a great opportunity to meet other residents and to share ideas. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Membership to Medlow Bath Residents Association is just $10 for single and $20 Family per year.

Situated at Blackheath on 16 beautiful hectares overlooking the magnificent Kanimbla Valley Mountains Christian College is a low fee school drawing students from Woodford in the east to Wallerawang in the west.

Being a part of the Community Association is rewarding. By becoming a financial member, you can vote on projects happening in Mt Victoria. Working bees, art projects, tidying up the village, connecting with Council, projects in our village and more… have a say and even initiate your own project! Being a part of the Community Association is a great way to make positive impact here in Mount Victoria.

Volunteers welcome on the 4th Saturday of each month (except December) from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Come when you can, leave when you need to.

During the Annual Rhododendron Festival the Blackheath village comes alive with entertainment and street stalls. The Grand Parade takes place on the first Saturday in November and the Annual Art Show is held at the Blackheath Community Centre with over 300 exhibits including traditional and contemporary works.
During the festival, there are varied stalls, activities and music for all the family.

Other activities during November include the Rhodo Dance or Ball, the Rhodo Festival Revue, and the Rhodo Festival Golf Classic. The Campbell Rhododendron gardens are always open for inspection.

Helping the community since 1881. In association with Sacred Heart Church in Blackheath, St Vincent de Paul Blackheath Conference supports Blackheath Public School, Mountains Christian School and the Blackheath Area Neighbourhood Centre, particularly with regular groceries for BANC's food pantry.

The Big Fix Inc. is a local not-for-profit arts, community and media development service, linking storytellers to those in the community working to tackle the many challenges we are facing. Its goal is to change the story to grow a collaborative solutions-focused culture. As well as providing a local news service, TBF runs events, workshops, internships, a volunteer program, and co-ordinates Blackheath Community Farm and the Blue Mountains Permaculture Institute.

The Blackheath Knitwits are a knitting group that knit various items for community services and charity groups like Katoomba's Thrive Family Support services, ‘Wrapped With Love’, Junction 142 and Soul Kitchen. If you’d like to join in, head on down and meet new friends while knitting for some great causes.

No previous writing experience is required. There is lots of fun and literary satisfaction on offer. Cost: $2 per week
